Letter from Founder
Audrianna Broad, ADC Founder & President
Hello Everyone,
I can hardly believe we are approaching 2011! Well into a new decade, we are starting our 6th year, and more excited than ever. Over the past 5 years, so much has happened throughout the world. The economy has taken some serious blunders, from the collapse of the housing market to the staggering unemployment rates, a new President has taken the helm, the IPhone, Hurricane Katrina, the Smart Car, we've even lost some legendary ballet stars including: Ekaterina Maximova, Alicia Makarova, Denise Jefferson, Ilona Copen, and one of my greatest inspirations, Fernando Bujones. 'So You Think You Can Dance' has jettisoned the love of dance into countless homes across the world, and spiking interest in the hearts of young entrepreneurs to spread the immeasurable value of dance in a plentitude of new mediums. I could go on for days.
Reminiscing makes you take close a look at where you've been and where you are headed. People all over the world are learning of the American Dance Competition and getting on board in one way or the other. And, I couldn't be more proud to be at the forefront of such a project as ADC, doing my part to educate & integrate, so that audiences all over the world will enjoy this new phase of wonderfully talented dancers.
I want to thank all those who have been on this journey with us, from our supporters, to our dancers, and art enthusiasts. For those of you not familiar with ADC, I urge you & insist you come see the work we are doing for the youth of today. It's a cultural gem right in the heart of Orlando. Don't miss out! March 4-6, 2011
Best,
